MEET NICKY
Certainly not your average 20 year old - Nicky got his start in racing early with karts, and his motivation to continue going faster has never stopped. Born and raised in Huntington Beach, California Nicky has had the opportunity to live and race around the world with numerous starts in a variety of National and International Formula Series including F1600, F4, F3, and Road to Indy USF2000. Nicky has his sights set on competing in Indy Lights in 2023.
Indy Lights Test
News: Nicky was able to test an Indy Lights car for the first time with Abel Motorsports. The test took place at the Indy GP Road Course. The additional power and weight certainly was a new experience compared to that of the USF2000 car. The experience was invaluable and it was a very successful day to take some momentum into the 2023 off season.
Two Podiums for Hays at USF2000 Finale in Portland
News: The finale of the USF2000 Championship visited Portland International Raceway for a triple header event. Nicky grabbed two - 2nd place finishes on the weekend. PIR lends itself to tight racing with being such a short track. To have good speed all weekend and competing at the front made it a great way to conclude the 2022 season.
HPD GT3 Academy
News: Nicky was fortunate to be selected to be a member of the HPD NSX Gt3 academy with Racers Edge Motorsports. In this program Nicky was able to sample Gt3 material for ths first time in his career. Further enhancing his experience level with different forms of cars. From the first run in Mid-Ohio Nicky was right at home. Throughout the 4 tests Nicky was able to learn and practice all the keys to being successful in Sportscar racing.., i.e. managing tires, in and out laps, driver changes, fuel mileage, and driving at night.
